Gluten-Free Pizza on Staten Island: What We Serve and How to Order It
October 22, 2026 · Mona Lisa Pizzeria & Ristorante · 839 Annadale Road, Staten Island, NY 10312
You should not have to eat a sad salad while everyone else opens a box of pizza. Here is exactly what gluten-free means on our menu, the three pies we make, and the one phone call to make before you order for an allergy.
The three gluten-free pizzas on our menu
Our regular menu carries a dedicated gluten-free section. Every pie in it is a 10-inch, so it is a good single-person dinner or a shared lunch:
- Gluten-Free Cheese Pizza (10") — tomato sauce and mozzarella, the baseline for any toppings you want added.
- Gluten-Free Fresh Mozzarella (10") — made with fresh mozzarella instead of shredded.
- Gluten-Free Sicilian Style — the thicker, square-cut style in a gluten-free crust.
We also keep a full page about it — sizes, how to order, and the same three pies — on our gluten-free pizza page.
If it is a true allergy, call first
This matters more than any menu wording. We cook in a normal pizzeria kitchen where flour is used every day, so we do not claim a gluten-free facility, and breaded items — mozzarella sticks, zucchini sticks, fried calamari, panelle, garlic knots — are not gluten-free. If you are ordering for someone with celiac disease or a serious sensitivity, call 718-967-1000 before you order. We would rather talk through the preparation with you than have you guess. Our menu carries the same note in the gluten-free section.
What else is easy to eat gluten-free
When a group is split, the salads are the simplest path: the Tossed House Salad, Mixed Green Salad, Caesar, Caprese, Sicilian Tomato Salad and the Mona Lisa Salad all skip the dough. Antipasto and seafood plates — fried calamari is breaded, so ask for the cold options — plus soups such as lentil or escarole and fagioli fill the same role. Check the full menu for the current list.
Ordering for a mixed table
The way most families do it: one or two gluten-free 10-inch pies for the people who need them, a regular Sicilian or pan pie for everyone else, and a platter of rolls kept to one side of the table so nothing crosses over. Order online for delivery or pickup in the 10309 through 10312 ZIP codes, or call us and we will build the order with you.
